The company specializes in healthcare litigation and currently manages over 7000 healthcare professional liability claims throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Win Winegar is Executive Vice President of Align, MD in Clarksville, TN.  AlignMD currently provides emergency medicine and hospitalist leadership for 7 partner hospitals in the South East. Prior to that, Win served six years as the Deputy Medical Director for Trinity Hospital’s Emergency Department. Win holds masters degrees in both Physician Assistant studies and Health Services Management.

Karen "Sue" Hoyt, BSN, Ph.D.

Sue Hoyt is a professor, editor and author with over 4 decades of RN experience and 13 years as an emergency nurse practitioner. Sue is currently a founding Board member of the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners (AAENP) and is chair of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) which will launch the first Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam in early 2017. Sue holds a Masters in Nursing from UCLA and Ph.D. from the University of San Diego.

Sheila Shea, RN, MSN, ANP, CEN

Long Beach Emergency Medical Group

Sheila brings over 22 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in the emergency department at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California.  She and Sue are founding members of the American Association of Emergency Nurse Practitioners, a national group dedicated the promotion of high-quality ENP education and care for patients of all acuity levels. And both are co-authors of The Pocket NP: Family Emergent/Urgent and Ambulatory Care.
